MANILA, Philippines – After winning audiences at.home and abroad, Open Endings arrives in Philippine cinemas nationwide on June 10, 2026, bringing to the big screen a moving and refreshingly honest story about queer friendship, love, and everything that lingers after relationships end.
Directed by Nigel Santos and written by Keavy Eunice Vicente, Open Endings follows four queer women whose lives remain deeply Intertwined through shared histories, former romances, and an enduring friendship that continues to evolve.

Shortly after its Cinemalaya run, Open Endings was selected for the Asian Next Wave section of the QCinema International Film Festival, the festival’s main competition program dedicated to showcasing outstanding works by emerging filmmakers from across Asia.
The film’s success continued internationally with its international premiere at the Wicked Queer Film Festival in Boston and its UK premiere at Queer East in London, where audiences embraced its deeply human story and nuanced portrayal of queer relationships.

At its heart, Open Endings is a story about chosen family, enduring connections, and the complicated ways people continue to love one another long after relationships change. While rooted in queer experiences, its themes of friendship, heartbreak, growth, and acceptance are universal.
As Philippine cinema continues to expand the stories it tells, Open Endings stands as a milestone, an unapologetically Filipino queer film that has resonated with audiences across cultures and now takes its place on screens nationwide.
