Quiksilver and Roxy, distributed by Primer Group of Companies, and their community came together yesterday at SM Megamall for the highly anticipated Quiksilver High Tide Hangout, marking the official relaunch of the refreshed Quiksilver flagship located at Level 3, Fashion Hall, SM Megamall. The event ran from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM and celebrated a renewed era of surf culture, style, and community.
Guests were welcomed with interactive stations including the Surfboard Writing Wall and the Quik Tribe Polaroid Wall, capturing the lively spirit of the afternoon. Food stalls opened mid-event, while participants enjoyed an exclusive 20% discount on Quiksilver and Roxy items for the day.
A highlight of the celebration was the ribbon-cutting ceremony, joined by representatives from SM Megamall including Mr. Gino Tang (Assistant Mall Manager), the Quiksilver Brand & Marketing Team, Llander Simon Cham and Harlene Mella, as well as honored guests—officially reopening the store and celebrating 12 years of surf and lifestyle retail.
Senior Brand Manager Llander Simon Cham delivered a short but inspiring message, highlighting the store’s resilience through major challenges, including economic shifts, the 2015 chapter 11 bankruptcy, COVID-19, and last year’s brand acquisition. He acknowledged the community that has supported the brand through the years and teased exciting plans for the future: new collections and more limited-edition Philippine Destination Tees, alongside the announcement of two new Quiksilver stores opening next year.
The event also drew celebrities and influencers, including Maxene Magalona, Jome Silayan, Roselle Vytiaco, Kathlene Figuracion, and more that added extra star power to the celebration.
Crowd-Favorite Highlights
The Best Outfit Competition had judges select four male and four female contenders, with the final winners determined by the crowd through a clap-off. Attendees also enjoyed the event raffle, with prizes including:
An overnight stay with breakfast for two at Crystal Beach Resort, and a limited-edition Roxy Sunset Chaser luggage.
Before concluding, guests gathered for a final group photo to commemorate the event. The newly reopened store is now officially open to the public, offering a fresh concept, immersive brand experience, and curated collections for surfers, adventure-seekers, and lifestyle enthusiasts.
Special thanks go out to Nalgene Philippines, Beach Hut Sunblock, Crystal Beach Resort Zambales, and Quiksilver Surf School for supporting the event.
